About The Exchange

The Exchange was formed in 2011, made up of members “Justin Rockstar” and “Gabrielle”, both accomplished Singer/Songwriter/Dancer/Performance artists with the ability to attack each and every genre of music. With a wide range of experience, they are able to write and perform music from Pop, Rock, R&B, Hip Hop, Soul, Electro-Hop, and Club to name a few. The Exchange takes pride in bringing their recorded music to life on stage with the same amount of energy, efficiency, and vocal prowess. When asked what they are trying to accomplish with their music they say, “We just want to bring back the lost art of the live performance. We are here to prove that good music can be made in any genre.” What separates The Exchange from other Pop bands is their live show. The Exchange is able to reproduce their recorded songs live with a full band unlike most Pop groups that just use a DJ or performance tracks.

Almost seemingly separated at birth, neither of the band mates ever felt like they had been able to find their place in the industry until they came together to form “The Exchange”. Justin, better known as “Justin Rockstar”, a Chi-town born singer/songwriter/model started in music and entertainment from a young age. Justin gained recognition throughout his life winning awards for his abilities on several different platforms. Justin hit some highs in his career after being signed as a solo artist, and again in a group to two separate indie labels.Neither of which panned out due to the labels losing funding.Though crushing, this didn’t break his stride for success. Determined to break into music, he dove into the Philly/NJ social scene. He began working along side some of the biggest radio personalities in the tri-state area to begin gaining a following. As a result he became one of the most recognized Socialite/MC/Personalities in the area solidifying his brand “Justin Rockstar”. Gabrielle has had much success in modeling, acting, dance, and music. Along with some commercial acting she has modeled for Costume Gallery Magazine. She Studied dance for 20 years under Rex Henriques, Bev Brown, Gil Stroming, Dan Karaty, and many more. Gabrielle has endured several music industry professionals that worked with her claiming they could “make things happen” only to find out she was being used. This only fueled her to press in harder to get to the place in music she has always known she could get to.

The past 9 months since The Exchange was formed, they have accomplished quite a lot. This Summer The Exchange played with Tinie Tempah at Harrahs Casino for 96.5′s Breakout artist show. They also teamed up with Grammy Nominated producer Joe Vulpis of www.apmusicentertainment.com. Joe is known for his work with Lady Ga Ga in the beginning of her career as well as song writing for major artists such as Al Martino. Joe worked with the band to put out their debut single “It Ain’t Over” and continues to work with them on their EP.

One of The Exchange’s biggest accomplishments was making the final ballot for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in the 2011 Grammys..
